Reunion and StoriesThis is a featured page

As a story is told
Life begins to unfold
Families meet and greet
What a joyous time bitter and sweet
Not knowing how we started
Only told by our dear departed
Journeys great and small
Finding our heritage will never fall
As our ancestors build small
Now our families are great and tall
Now a reunion begins to start
Only after a century's mark
Meeting begins with another
Leaving the reunion as a brother
Stories grand and well
Only through war our ancestors fell
In the end will our future live on
By stories told on and on.
Once again I am inspired to write again
By Larry Overmire and his story.

Thank you Michael for writing a delightful poem about your reunion experience. I continue to be amazed at the huge response we are receiving from family about the reunion experience. Truly we arrived at the reunion strangers, and now so many of us feel like we have new brothers and sisters. I am humbled by the miracle that happened on the three greatest days of July I will ever know.
